Poop on the Bed: The Frustration that Changed Everything
It all started with a problem every cat owner knows: one day my cat decided to poop on my bed, because there was already a turd in the litter box. It wasn't the first time, and it led to yet another argument with my girlfriend. Cats are fantastic, but the chores that come with them: cleaning the litter box, getting litter, and providing fresh water, are anything but fun. And time for these kinds of things? Most busy Dutch people like me don't have that. Then I thought: there has to be a better way.
From Idea to Action: How Poopy Emerged
What started as a frustration quickly became where the idea for Poopy was born. Instead of settling for expensive, self-cleaning litter boxes with no Dutch service, I decided to join my two co-founders in looking for innovative solutions that could make taking care of your best buddy easier, smarter and even more fun.
From Prototype to Bestseller: Poopy's First Success
In the summer of 2023, we left for the Far East to make our dreams come true. We were determined: everything we would create had to be perfect. The first Poopy's were delivered in April 2024 and the response was overwhelming: within no time we sold out. We knew this was just the beginning. We gathered feedback from current customers, improved the Poopy, and again sought partners who shared our vision: cat care could be smarter, more efficient and more fun.
Poopy anno 2025: Growing with Passion and Mission
In January 2025, Poopy has grown into a thriving company with a team of 20 people, with a mission bigger than ever: to revolutionize the world of cat owners. We went into the new year sold out and will receive our restock in Feb. 1.
