GETTING USED TO POOPY
How to get your cat used to Poopy
For most cats, all you need to do is set Poopy down.
Is that not the case with your cat? Then these steps will help.
Step 1Place Poopy next to the old litter box, with the automatic setting turned off.This way, your cat can get used to it at its own pace, without any unexpected noises or movements.
Step 2Scoop some used litter from the old litter box into Poopy.Your cat will recognize its own scent and know: this is my new litter box.
Step 3Start the cleaning process yourself for the first few days, when your cat isn't around.That way, it won’t be startled by the machine running.
Step 4Remove the old litter box as soon as your cat starts using Poopy.Feel free to give your cat plenty of time to adjust.

Does Poopy work with large or older cats?
Poopy It's suitable for cats weighing 1 to 8 kg, so it works for most cats. The open entrance is great for cats with stiff joints. Do you have a very large cat and aren't sure? Feel free to email us, and you'll have 50 days to try it out at your own pace.
Is Poopy safe for my cat?
Yes. There is no waste tray underneath the drum where your cat could get stuck, and the entrance is open. So your cat can always get out on its own, even during a power outage or if a sensor fails.
What type of litter can I use?
Any type of clumping cat litter will work. The most important thing is that it forms quick, firm clumps that don’t fall apart and produces little dust. Litter that doesn’t clump, such as silica gel or wood pellets, won’t work. Our Poopy Fusion litter is designed for the Poopy.
Does Poopy work with multiple cats?
Yes, up to 3 cats per Poopy. The weight sensor weighs each visitor, and you can view the most recent visit in the app. Do you have 4 or more cats? If so, we recommend a second Poopy.
Is Poopy suitable for kittens?
Kittens weighing about 1 kg and 3 months old can safely use Poopy. Kittens usually get used to it surprisingly quickly.
Do I need Wi-Fi or the app?
No. Poopy works even without the app or Wi-Fi. If you want to use the app, you'll need a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection. Wi-Fi is also required for updates.
Does the Poopy make noise?
No. While cleaning, Poopy produces about 42.5 dB. That's comparable to the soft hum of a refrigerator.
How long will it take for my cat to settle in?
For most cats, all you need to do is set up Poopy . Is that not the case with your cat? If so, follow the getting-used-to-it guide above. If that doesn't work, or if you'd like more help, email our customer service team at support@poopy.co, and we'll work with you to find a solution.
How often should I perform maintenance?
Change the bag about once a week (more often if you have multiple cats) and refill the litter. Every few weeks, wipe down the drum with a damp cloth. Thanks to the smooth surface of the drum, that’s all it takes.
What if the power goes out?
No problem. The open design means your cat can always come and go as it pleases, even without power. As soon as the power comes back on, Poopy resumes its cycle.
What is covered by the 2-year warranty?
All mechanical and electronic defects that occur during normal use. If a defect occurs within 2 years, we’ll send a replacement part or repair it, whichever is faster.
How soon will I receive my Poopy ?
Within 2–3 business days. Shipping is free.
How does the 50-day trial period work?
You have 50 days to see if Poopy is a good fit for your cat and your home. If it’s not a good fit, send it back within 50 days for a full refund. We’ll cover the return shipping costs. Keep the original packaging so you can safely return your Poopy .
