Poopydoes NOT work well with the following types of cat litter:
❌ Fine clumping of cat litter - this causes leakage of grit and this causes the product to break down
❌ Wood fibers with long fibers
❌ Tofu cat litter with long, rod-shaped granules - These do not pass the T-filter properly and cause blockages
❌ Very dusty cat litter
❌ Pellet-shaped cat litter
❌ Silica gel cat litter
❌ Biodegradable cat litter that degrades too quickly
The Poopy Nano is designed for most cats and works best under these conditions:
Weight: sensors respond from 1 kg.
Size: suitable for medium-sized cats. With very large breeds (such as Maine Coon or Norwegian Forest Cat), space in the drum may be somewhat limited.
Age: suitable for cats 3-4 months and older. For younger kittens, we do not recommend using clumping cat litter, as it can be swallowed and pose health risks.
Behavior and Habituation
Every cat is different. Most cats accept the Poopy quickly, but some need some time to get used to the automatic cleaning mechanism. Therefore, introduce the Poopy gently and gradually.

Every few days: check the litter and waste bag.
Weekly: replace litter bag, lift the drum and wipe the base clean. Remove any leaked cat litter with vacuum cleaner.
Possibly monthly: thorough cleaning with warm water and mild detergent.
Note: Do not use harsh cleaning agents, and keep electronics dry.

Thanks to the specially selected material and seamless, smooth finish, dirt and grit adhere much less to the surface. This keeps the drum cleaner during use and makes cleaning noticeably easier. No awkward edges, no places where dirt accumulates, just a sleekly finished drum that does what it's supposed to do: run smoothly and be easy to keep clean, time after time.
GritGuard™
GritGuard™ prevents clean grit from falling out during the cleaning cycle and ending up on the floor. In concrete terms, this means less grit outside the Poopy a cleaner environment around the litter box. It is a targeted solution to a frustration that you would otherwise encounter again and again during daily use.
Grit trap™
Loose litter that ends up next to or under the litter box is one of the biggest annoyances for cat owners. The Gritvanger™ catches this litter before it spreads throughout your home. By catching the litter in a controlled manner, the area around the Poopy remains Poopy and tidy. This makes a visible difference in daily cleaning and also makes weekly maintenance a lot easier and faster.
Two unique filters
The Poopy Nano uses two separate filters, each tailored to a different type of cat litter. One filter is designed for bentonite litter, the other for tofu litter. This targeted approach ensures that each type of litter is filtered as intended. This results in a more effective filter system that is better suited to the type of litter you use, without compromising on performance or compatibility.
No infrared sensor
Instead of infrared sensors, the Poopy Nano works entirely on weight sensors. This means that the system is not sensitive to dust, dirt, or light influences that can cause malfunctions with infrared. This conscious choice makes the system simpler, more consistent, and more reliable in daily use. Less technology that can become dirty, and more focus on stable operation.
Weighted waste flap with magnetic closure
The weighted waste flap with magnetic closure is designed to better seal the waste opening. The extra weight and magnet ensure that the flap closes securely and stays firmly in place. This keeps the waste compartment neatly sealed and limits the spread of unwanted odors. A small design change that makes a big difference to how fresh the Poopy in your home.

The inner floor of the Poopy Nano has been redesigned with a focus on fit, ease of use, and maintenance. Thanks to anti-leak strips, the floor fits better and leakage is reduced. The inner floor is easy to install and remove, making cleaning quick and easy. In addition, the floor is scratch-resistant, water-resistant, and machine washable, making it suitable for long-term and intensive use.
Improved chassis
The base of the Poopy Nano has been further developed in several areas. The weight sensors have been improved for more accurate measurements and the motor has been modified for quieter operation. The wheels in the base are also sturdier and made of better material, allowing the drum to rotate more smoothly and stably.
