The Poopy Nano 2 is a self-cleaning cat litter box that makes your life a lot easier. As soon as your cat is finished with its toilet visit, smart sensors detect that it has left the box. The Poopy Nano 2 then automatically starts a cleaning cycle. Clumps are separated from the clean litter and hermetically sealed in a special Poopy Bag. This ensures you always have a fresh and odor-free litter box, without having to scoop it yourself.

The Poopy Nano 2 is designed to work with a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, which is the most common type in households. The litter box is not compatible with 5 GHz Wi-Fi. If you have a dual-band router (with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), make sure you select the correct network – this is usually the Wi-Fi network without "5G" in the name. The Poopy Nano 2 also works perfectly without Wi-Fi. All basic functions, such as automatic cleaning, manual cleaning, and status notifications via the lights, continue to function normally. Wi-Fi is optional and is only used for additional functionalities such as receiving firmware updates or connecting to the Poopy app (if available). What doesn't work is connecting via a mobile hotspot or your phone's 5G network. The Poopy Nano 2 requires a stable and constant connection to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network at home. A temporary hotspot is not suitable for this, as it does not offer a reliable connection and is often automatically disconnected after a short time. If you have Wi-Fi at home, connecting is very easy via the Wi-Fi button on the box. Don't have Wi-Fi? No problem – the box will continue to do its job, just without the smart features.

For optimal performance of the Poopy Nano 2, it's important to use the correct cat litter (also called cat grit or cat sand). The Poopy Nano 2 works best with fine, clumping cat litter. This type of litter ensures that urine is quickly absorbed and forms hard, compact clumps. These clumps are easily and completely removed from the litter box during automatic cleaning, while the clean litter remains neatly in place. The reason why fine, clumping grit works so well is because it: - Clumps quickly upon contact with moisture - does not fall apart during cleaning - slides smoothly through the sieve or cleaning arm - is dust-free, which keeps the mechanism clean – and absorbs the scent well Cat litter that is not suitable for the Poopy Nano 2: - Silica crystals (such as white granules or gel beads): these do not clump and can damage the mechanism. - Wood pellets or plant-based filler: often too coarse, not clumping, or too moist. - Non-clumping litter: this remains in the litter box and is not properly removed, causing odors and moisture to accumulate. Preferably, use a filling that: ✔ has a fine structure (grain size of approximately 0.5 to 2 mm) ✔ odor-absorbing works ✔ made of clay (such as sodium bentonite) ✔ dust-free (for a clean engine and fresh environment) You don't need to use a specific brand, but it's worth choosing a quality litter. Cheap cat litter often clumps less effectively or falls apart, making cleaning less effective and requiring you to empty the litter box more often. Finally: fill the tank to the recommended level (usually just below the max line in the drum) and top up when necessary – for example, after emptying the collection tank or if you notice the level dropping. By using the right cat litter, you ensure that the Poopy Nano 2 can do its job properly and that you get the maximum convenience – just as it was intended.

The Poopy Nano 2 is suitable for cats of all ages and sizes, from kittens to adult cats. Thanks to its sensitive weight sensors, it detects cats from 1 kilogram. Do you have a Maine Coon or another large breed of cat? While most cats use the Poopy Nano 2 comfortably, the size may be a little too small for larger Maine Coons. We understand this and are working on a larger version, but for now, this is our current model.

Maintenance is simple and minimal. Replace the Poopy Bag approximately once a week (for one cat), and thoroughly clean the unit once every 1-2 months. The device is designed so that all parts are easily accessible, making cleaning quick and easy. Use a damp cloth to clean the unit and rinse loose parts such as the drum and T-filter under the tap/shower.

The Poopy Nano 2 can be used by an unlimited number of cats. There is no maximum: the device is designed to automatically clean itself after each use, regardless of how many cats use it. The more cats you have, the more often the collection drawer will fill – all you need to do is replace the bag a little more often. This ensures the litter box always stays clean and comfortable for every cat in the house.

Yes, the Poopy Nano 2 also works without the app. You can manually start the cleaning cycle, emptying, and leveling via the buttons on the device.
