Poo in Bed: The Frustration That Changed Everything
It all started with a problem that every cat owner is familiar with: one day, my cat decided to poop on my bed because there was already a turd in the litter box. It wasn't the first time, and it led to yet another argument with my girlfriend. Cats are fantastic, but the chores that come with them, cleaning the litter box, getting litter and providing fresh water, are anything but fun. And time for these kinds of things? Most busy Brits like me don't have it. Then I thought: there must be another way.
From Idea to Action: How Poopy Was Created
What started as frustration quickly turned into the idea for Poopy. Instead of resigning myself to expensive, self-cleaning litter boxes without Dutch service, I decided to team up with my two co-founders to look for innovative solutions that could make caring for your best friend easier, smarter and even more fun.
From Prototype to Bestseller: Poopy's First Success
In the summer of 2023, we left for the Far East to make our dreams come true. We were determined: everything we created had to be perfect. The first Poopys were delivered in April 2024 and the response was overwhelming: we sold out in no time. We knew this was just the beginning. We gathered feedback from current customers, improved the Poopy, and once again sought out partners who shared our vision: cat care can be smarter, more efficient and more fun.
Poopy in 2025: Growing with Passion and Mission
Now, in January 2025, Poopy has grown into a thriving company with a team of 20 people, with a mission bigger than ever: to revolutionize the world of cat ownership. We went into the new year sold out and will be restocking on February 1st.
