The Poopy Nano 2 is a self-cleaning litter box that makes your life a lot easier. As soon as your cat finishes his toilet visit, smart sensors detect that he has left the litter box. Then the Poopy Nano 2 automatically starts a cleaning cycle. Lumps are separated from the clean grit and collected airtight in a special Poopy Bag. As a result, you always have a fresh and odor-free litter box, without having to scoop yourself.

The frequency with which you should empty the litter box depends on the number of cats and how often they use the box.

1 cat → Once every 4-6 days

2 cats → Once every 3-5 days

3 cats → Once every 2-3 days

4 cats → Once every 1-2 days

This is a general guideline from Poopy. Every cat is different, so we recommend keeping a close eye on how quickly the box fills up. That way you will find out for yourself what is the best time for you to change the bag.

The litter box is designed to keep odors and bacteria in. Removing the waste bag is easy and hygienic, as the clumps are contained in a separate container that you can easily remove and empty.

The Poopy Nano 2 is designed to work with a 2.4 GHz wifi network, which is the most common type in households. The litter box is not compatible with 5 GHz wifi. If you have a dual-band router (with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), make sure you select the correct network, usually the wifi network without "5G" in the name.

The Poopy Nano 2 also works fine without wifi. All basic functions, such as automatic cleaning, manual cleaning and status notifications via the lights, continue to function as usual. Wifi is optional, and is only used for additional functionalities such as receiving firmware updates or linking to the Poopy (if available).

What won't work is connecting via a mobile hotspot or 5G network from your phone. The Poopy Nano 2 needs a stable and constant connection to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network in your home. A temporary hotspot is not suitable for this purpose, as it does not provide a reliable connection and often disconnects automatically after a short period of time.

Important: Once you connect the Poopy Nano 2 to your home Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz), you can then control it via 4G or 5G on your phone - wherever you are in the world. The connection to your Poopy is always through your home network, giving you access to its smart features from anywhere.

If you have Wi-Fi at home, connecting is very easy via the Wi-Fi button on the box. Don't have Wi-Fi? No problem – the box will continue to do its job, just without smart functions.

De Poopy Nano 2 werkt het best met grof, klontvormend kattengrit dat ook een vorm van geurcontrole bevat, zoals actieve koolstof. Als je voor optimaal gebruik wilt gaan, kies dan voor grit dat aan volgende eigenschappen voldoet:

• Grovere korrels
  Door de grotere korrelmaat zakt het grit veel minder snel door in het onderstel.
  
• Uitstekende vochtopname en -binding
  Goed grit neemt vocht snel op én houdt het stevig vast, zodat klonten compact en dicht blijven. Dit voorkomt lekkende of uitlopende urineklonten die de trommel kunnen vervuilen en nare geurtjes veroorzaken.
  
  
• Effectieve geurcontrole (bijv. actieve koolstof)
  Een geurabsorberend element zoals actieve kool neutraliseert geuren direct bij de bron. In een gesloten, roterend systeem is dat essentieel voor een frisse bak en een prettige omgeving.
  
  
• Snelle en sterke klontvorming
  Hoe sneller het grit bindt, hoe schoner de bak blijft. Stevige klonten worden probleemloos gescheiden door de Poopy zonder restjes of smeerplekken achter te laten.
  
  
• Stofvrij of vrijwel stofvrij

De Poopy Nano 2 is ontworpen voor de meeste katten en werkt optimaal onder de volgende voorwaarden:

• Gewicht: de ingebouwde sensoren detecteren katten vanaf 1 kilogram.
  
• Formaat: geschikt voor katten van gemiddeld formaat. Voor zeer grote rassen (zoals Maine Coon of Noorse Boskat) kan de beschikbare ruimte beperkend zijn. Controleer daarom altijd of uw kat zich comfortabel in de trommel kan bewegen.
  
• Leeftijd: geschikt voor katten van alle leeftijden. Let op: het gebruik van klontvormende kattenbakvulling wordt niet aanbevolen voor kittens jonger dan 3–4 maanden, omdat zij dit per ongeluk kunnen inslikken. Dit kan gezondheidsrisico’s veroorzaken. Raadpleeg bij twijfel altijd uw dierenarts.
  

Elke kat is anders. Sommige katten hebben tijd nodig om te wennen aan het automatische schoonmaakmechanisme of aan het nieuwe ontwerp. Voor katten die gevoelig zijn voor geluid of beweging raden wij aan de introductie stapsgewijs en rustig te laten verlopen.

Daarom is de Poopy Nano 2 in de praktijk ook geschikt voor kittens, maar pas vanaf 3–4 maanden.

Cleaning guidelines for Poopy Nano 2:

To keep your Poopy hygienic and in good working order, we recommend the following maintenance:

Daily

• Check the litter and remove any clumps or waste that wasn't collected.
• See if the waste bag is full.

Weekly

• Replace the waste bag.
• Clean the drum with a damp cloth and mild detergent (no harsh chemicals or abrasives).

De Poopy Nano 2 is geschikt voor meerdere katten. In de praktijk kun je rekenen op 2 tot 3 katten per Poopy zonder problemen. Heb je meer katten, dan kan dat ook, maar houd er rekening mee dat:
